Rhett Meets Santa......the Peter Family Tradition Continues!

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why....Santa Claus is coming to town! It's 12 days until Christmas and the Bryan family is getting prepared to travel to Texas for the Christmas holidays! We're very excited and can't wait to spend over 2 and a 1/2 weeks with family and friends!

Before we make our way back home, we've been very busy shopping, playing sports, packing, traveling (Jeremy), going to school, and spending time with Peter and old St. Nick! On December 1st, Peter, our Elf on the Shelf, appeared and began his annual tradition of helping Santa make his list, check it twice, and finding out who's naughty or nice!

Here's Will and Rhett with Peter....before he began his annual scroll about the house! Each night, Peter finds a new place around the house to help Santa keep an eye on things! He's been very busy for the past 13 days!

This morning....he appeared on the red table in the living room! Where will he appear in the morning? He's got his eye on you!

Yesterday, Will, Rhett, and I paid a visit to old St. Nick.....he was at the Crossroads Mall in Portage visiting with all the boys and girls who had a dream and a big wish for Christmas! Rhett had an opportunity to meet Santa Claus for the 1st time in his life.....and what an experience this was......absolutely priceless!

Will's 1st visit with Santa in 2008!

Buddies forever!

I would like a Wii, a few Wii games, Star Wars toys, a few puzzles, and a few books!

I love you Santa and can't wait to see what you leave me on Christmas morning!

Will....brother.....please look at me...help me!

Santa....I love you but I'm just not sure if I know you! I do like your white beard!

Although it's been busy, we're very excited and love this time of year! Giving, loving, enjoying one another, and living life to the fullest is the best present anyone could wish for! We wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Oh the weather outside is frightful but the fire is so delightful! We've been waiting for it since we arrived in Michigan and this weekend it became reality! The temperature hit a very cold 12 degrees and we received well over 12 inches of snow since Friday.....the largest amount came last night! Breathtaking is how both Jeremy and I have explained it more than once to one another!

Here's a picture of the house on Thursday before we received all the snow over the weekend!

Did I mention Jeremy had shoveled the driveway yesterday and it was clean? Well over 8 inches of snow from last night alone! Take a look at Jeremy's company vehicle?

Here's a picture of the sidewalks after a little of Jeremy's blood, sweat, & tears!

Here's a few beautiful spruce trees close to our house! Absolutely incredible!

Here's a picture of our front porch as the snow falls! The flakes are huge but light and fluffy!

Here's a picture from the deck this morning! Jeremy had cleaned it off yesterday as well! Did I mention we got a little snow last night?

Daddy and Will had a wonderful time yesterday playing in the winter wonderland!

Daddy and Will wrestling in the snow! How fun!

Getting a little taste of Michigan! Yummy?

Daddy pulling Will on his sled! I think Jeremy had as much or more fun than Will!

This is a new life experience for us and we're thoroughly enjoying it! We hope you enjoy viewing our snow photos and seeing how much fun we're having! Happy Holidays!

Thanksgiving.......2008!

Although we didn't have an opportunity to go back to the Lone Star State for Thanksgiving, we had a wonderful time together! Jeremy and I are so very thankful for each another and the two beautiful children we adore so much! We started our Thanksgiving holiday on Wednesday....Daddy took the day off and we had a great time! We began by putting our gingerbread skills to task!

$10 for flour, baking soda, ginger, and sugar!

$15 for icing, paste, and a plastic base!

A beautiful gum drop house and a smiling face.......priceless!

On Thanksgiving Day, we kicked off the day with the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade! Seeing Santa for the first time this year was quite memorable! We then proceeded to Cracker Barrel for a good Thanksgiving Day lunch! Although it wasn't Maw Maw or Mimi's cooking, it was a pretty good second....no third...maybe forth! Regardless, the company couldn't have been better!

Rhett enjoying his own version of Turkey, Dressing, and Sweet Potatoes.....yummy!

Will after his typical chicken strips, fries, and ranch dressing....even on Thanksgiving Day!

As if you can't tell.....I do love my boys!

After lunch, we came home, took a few pictures, and put the finishing touches on our Christmas decorating!

We are very thankful for all life has so graciously offered us! Life is a true blessing each and every day! We hope you and those you love had a wonderful day! Happy Thanksgiving from the Bryan Bros!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We want to wish all of our family and friends a happy and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! We are so very thankful for all the wonderful things we have in our lives and all the blessings that have come our way! We can't wait to see you at Christmas. We love you all!

Thank you cousin Conleigh (aka Cookie) for my "Gobble til you Wobble" Thanksgiving day shirt! I love you very much......Rhett Wade!

Maw Maw Visits the Winter Wonderland!

Our gift to Maw Maw for her 60th birthday was her surprise celebration in Henderson as well as a trip to Chicago and Portage, Michigan! Needless to say, we were very excited to see Maw Maw and have her join us in the place we call home! Jeremy and I had been planning this for weeks but Will and Rhett had been anticipating her arrival for months!

The Bryan chauffeur's at your service! We're so excited you're here, Maw Maw!

A great picture of Maw Maw with "the Boys" at the Cheesecake Factory on the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago!

One of Maw Maw's biggest fans!

Another one of Maw Maw's biggest fans! Did I tell you it's been a long day?

Did anyone tell you Chicago is known as the WINDY city? Now we know why!

Back at the campfire lodge in Michigan, Maw Maw and Will enjoy making smores together on the deck!

While visiting, Maw Maw witnessed our first big snow on Sunday, November 16th! It was beautiful!

On the day of Maw Maw's departure, our trip from Portage to the Chicago O'hare airport was very interesting! I wish you could have seen the size of Maw Maw's eyes! At the southern most tip of Lake Michigan, we came across a white out and experienced more snow than Texas will see this year! Needless to say, it was an intense moment but we made it through and got Maw Maw on her plane back to God's country!

Maw Maw.....we can't tell you how much fun we had and how much we enjoyed having you visit us in Michigan! Will and Rhett were very sad to see you go but they both understand Sugar and Scruffy need you! We love you and can't wait to have you join us again! Happy 60th birthday, Maw Maw!

60 Year Olds Rock!

The date was October 11th at approximately 5:45pm. SURPRISE!!!! These words rang out as Maw Maw opened the limo door to her 60th birthday surprise celebration! Little did she know........the entire family was present! She had no idea we had taken a flight home the day before!

The look on Maw Maw's face was priceless!

Take a look at the Bryan Three Stooges!

The loves of Maw Maw's life!

Check us out......we're on top of the world!

Maw Maw and "Bern!"
