Museum with MawMaw

On Friday, we took MawMaw to the Grand Rapids
Public Museum. We wanted her to experience the
"Bodies Revealed" exhibit.

While Daddy, MawMaw and Will went to the exhibit,
Rhett and I rode the carousel a couple of times and
walked around the museum.

Will has been learning about the Portage Potawatomi
Indians. At the museum, there was an exhibit about
the Indians. We thought this was cool so we wanted
to get a picture of him by one of the Indians to share
with his class.

Giddy up!

After leaving the museum, we went to the mall.
Rhett took a little nap before we ate supper.
MawMaw and Will enjoyed looking at some
of their purchases!

What a fun day! To top it off, we got to eat some
yummy Mexican Food!!

K~Wings Playoff Game

Last Saturday night we enjoyed a K~Wings playoff game! They handed out red poms to all the fans!

Here they are!

Rhett is a fan of Slappy...the K~Wings mascot.
waiting patiently until Slappy notices him

Oh...there you are!

Look at that happy fan!

Rhett got Slappy to sign his red pom.

waiting for Slappy to notice him again

Oh...there is my fan again!

K~Wings won! The Bryan Family likes a
little physical action in the hockey game...
there was none of that.
(fighting)

Until...the end of the game. I guess they were
waiting...and boy did they!
It was kind of scary...I was worried about the
players at the bottom of the pile.

Breaking it up...everyone was okay.

What a fun night to see the K~Wings play!
They advanced to the next level.

Projects

While Mom was here, she helped me finish a few
projects I had started.
She re~vamped my kitchen window!
It is so Eastery and Springy!

She also helped finish up my dining room.

A while back, Mom gave me some vintage
silverware with our family monogram "B."
I have been wanting to decorate with the silverware,
but I did not know where....She found the perfect
place to use the silverware.
On my dining room table...of course.

Mom just has an eye for decorating and a
talent for putting everything together!
She is always thinking "out of the box!"
I want to be more like her!
Thank you Mama!
She also helped me with a table in our living room.
I still need to find one piece to finish it up and then I
will share some more pics.

Chicago

While Mom was here, we took a trip to Chicago.
Our first stop was The Cheesecake Factory.
It was yummy!

Rhett was not too happy with us...he wanted to see
"Woody" first. He cried for a bit and then played
his DS.

On their way to the Lego Store.

Happy Boy!

The reason for Rhett's trip...seeing "Sheriff Woody!"

He could not stop touching him...he kept
wanting me to take a picture of him
and his buddy!

Then we all had to take our pic with "Woody."

and R2D2

The Lego Man outside of the store.

Rhett's 1st time to walk onto the escalator...he
loved jumping off!

Will needed some tennis shoes...we stopped at Nordstroms.
Will found some and Rhett enjoyed trying on some too.
(they were too big...but he did not care)

Exhausted...Rhett missed our time in the
Disney Store. Will and Mimi got him a
surprise to open at the hotel.

Rhett ended up picking out some GREEN
tennis shoes...his favorite color.

The next day, we took a trip to IKEA.
Rhett had a nice set up in the buggy.
(even a pillow with a foo fee)

taking a ride to another level

Finally, a pic of my buddy! He had a pretty sweet
set up too...riding in the buggy playing his DS.

We all had a fun time on our trip to Chicago!
We enjoyed our Mimi being with us for 1 week!
Thank you Mimi for ALL our surprises
and the fun time while you were in Michigan!
Also, thank you to Aunt Linne, Uncle Jake and Conleigh
for sending us some special surprises.

Mimi in Michigan

We started this day off with chocolate chip muffins!
Rhett enjoyed them...can you tell?

Next, we were off to Kingdom for Rhett's soccer class.
warming up

backwards running...with karate chopping

summersaults

Will and Rhett enjoying Mimi!

I love soccer yell...

Then, off to do some thrifting and antiquing.
Mimi found some treasures...and Will and Rhett
did too. (baseball cards and a "Woody")
Mom and I love this quote...
"Clutter is all the things you need most,
never use, but can't party with."
Mary Randolph Carter
(I guess you could say, she found some clutter on
her trip to Michigan! We love it!)

Lastly, this is where they were at the end of the day!
Sitting in Mimi's lap! I think this is where Will
stayed most of the time...watching Karate Kid,
looking and sorting through Pok-e-mon cards, getting
on the computer, reading and everything else.
Rhett enjoyed playing with "Tiny and Buddy."

Just plain Enjoying Each Other!
